This week’s creation is the Sparkling Pineapple Digestion Tea.
Chef Katy is a lover of Mexican flavor who has appeared on National Geographic Channel and Food Network. Trained under Master Chef Rick Bayless, she has developed menus, opened restaurants, and written cookbooks combining a passion for traditional Mexican flavors with modern preparation and technique. She is currently the corporate chef for a large Mexican quick-serve chain and co-owner of Goodlayla CBD.
In Mexico, there is a drink called Tepache. It’s a fermented drink made with pineapple skins. The fermented beverage is slightly effervescent and sweet and is great for digestion. This is an homage to that with apple cider vinegar to help aid digestion, fresh pineapple for tart sweetness and CBD infused white tea for relaxation.
- DOSED No. 3 CBD White Tea or DOSED No. 3 White Tea, steeped in 8 oz. water and cooled
- 2 tablespoons Apple cider vinegar with mother
- 1/2 cup diced fresh pineapple
- Sparkling water
Shake vinegar and pour into a blender, add tea and pineapple and blend until smooth. Pour over ice and top with a splash of sparkling water.
